Reflexology Treatments

Reflexology is a form of holistic therapy that has been used since ancient times. It is based on the principle that specific points on our feet and hands correspond to organs and structures within the body: by applying precise pressure techniques to these points, we can stimulate our body to heal and maintain optimum function.

Reflexology unblocks stagnating energy within our body that causes the very beginnings of disease. By restoring the energy flow within our body, we have a better chance of maintaining good health. This may sounds like a far fetched idea, however let’s not forget that we are essentially made of energy and that is why Reflexology works so well on the “energy level”.

Reflexology can be particularly therapeutic when suffering from:

• Stress and anxiety
• Headaches
• Hormonal disorders
• Digestive problems
• Fertility, maternity and pregnancy related issues

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing and balancing treatment, suitable for all ages.

It is also a cumulative therapy and therefore best results are achieved when receiving regular treatments – for example to start with it is recommended one treatment a week for 6 weeks, thereafter a maintenance plan will be created for once a month treatment. The treatment is given whilst you are comfortably sitting in a reclining chair. There is no need to get undressed as I will only treat your feet or hands.

What to expect on your first Reflexology appointment:

Your first appointment will be 1 hour long. To begin with, we will briefly discuss your concerns and cover any questions you may have, followed by the reflexology treatment itself. On the first appointment you will receive an “overall” treatment, which means that we will cover all the main body systems (nervous, respiratory, endocrine, digestive, circulatory and lymphatic systems) to find any imbalance. In this way, we can formulate a maintenance plan and at the next appointment, revisit those areas of imbalance previously found.

Reflexology treatments can also be mixed with other modalities such as Massage (see Deep Tissue / Swedish Massage) or Reiki (a form of energy healing).

You might be able to claim your treatment fees if you or your spouse are receiving health insurance. Please check with your insurance first.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours notice of your booked appointment time will incur a charge of the full fee of your scheduled treatment. No shows or no notice cancellations will also be charged the full cost of the treatment.
